ITS.Netrix - Entry to the connected world

This is an entirely new desktop device for the trading floor aimed at revolutionising trader communications. The device takes advantage of network-centric voice, video and data communications to empower the user with instant access to the customer, the market and the applications to support the business.

ITS.Netrix - Designed for demanding users

The device is packed full of features accessed through an intuitive user interface with simple controls and colour displays. The combination of colour and comprehensive key labels enables users to rapidly distinguish between client calls and events. The context sensitive user interface presented on the application display guides the user through the wide range of functionality, clearly showing when functions are available or not according to the status of calls and events. Even the handset has controls to scroll through options and speed keys.

ITS.Netrix - Future-Proof and Open Technology

The ability to connect as TDM or IP, to host Java applications, receive IP audio and video streams and to operate as a SIP client in its own right, ensures the device will take every advantage of the exciting developments in communications on the horizon.

IP or TDM Connectivity Built-in

This device is the first ever desktop device able to offer both TDM and IP connectivity to the host communication servers. The IP connectivity, known as IPLink, is a truly routable IP protocol enabling resilient communication across the enterprise LAN/WAN. IPlink also adheres to IETF synchronisation standards, ensuring fully synchronised IP audio across the trading floor. This synchronisation is crucial in an environment where speakers are co-located and listening to common audio sources.

Instant Call Recognition

The new multimedia device uniquely provides a CLI display on every key, allowing users to identify key clients calling in immediately. CLI translation to caller’s names is based on the user’s speed key entries. Users can program an unlimited number of speed keys onto the device, saved to the central server. Users can make their speed keys available to other team members for using or editing. What’s more, a new caller’s CLI can be captured into a speed key during the call. To aid the users further, the line label has been increased from the traditional 8 characters to a massive 20 characters. Keys also show the status of the call.

Contact History

The new multimedia device retains a history of all contacts made and received by the user, including unanswered calls or personal calls answered by others, both of which alert the user. The user can scroll through the list and re-establish contact by simply selecting the entry.

Key Pages

Each user has access to an almost unlimited number of key pages that can be applied to any of the banks of 20 keys on the multimedia device Command Module or the Expansion modules. Each bank is paged separately, ensuring that important lines and other events are always on view. Each bank can also instantly show call and event activity or the available pages in the form of an index.

High Quality Audio

The combination of high quality custom speaker cones, acoustic enclosures and all-digital audio handling circuitry delivers outstanding audio quality on all speakers, including the integral single-channel speaker/intercom on the Command Module. The device also includes a revolutionary ‘array microphone’ designed to focus on the user’s voice and eliminate background noise. Alternatively a fixed or freestanding ‘stalk’ microphone can be used to talk-back. Using high power DSP processing, all speakers provide exceptional open-line performance.

Security and Resilience

The Linux operating system on the new multimedia device is built to eliminate all vulnerable protocols. The system includes a firewall and anti-virus software. For resilience, the IPLink module provides two 10/100 Ethernet ports each with separate IP addresses enabling the device to connect to different access switches. The device uses DHCP for IP address allocation.

ITS Multimedia Device Modules

The new multimedia device comprises the following modules:
CM - Command Module (MegaLink)
IPM - IPLink upgrade module for CM
LM20 - 20-key expansion module (2 max.)
VM8 - 8-channel speaker module (3 max.)
HC - Corded Handset (2 max.)
